Remembering what Labor Day means

Labor Day is more than the last hurrah of summer. It honors American workers and the labor movements for better pay, safer conditions and shorter hours. Let’s take a moment to remember all the workers that keep our country moving. Plus, those that fought for safer and fairer conditions. 

Chamber member meeting this Thursday, Sept. 10, at noon. Located at the chamber/Legion building across from the post office in Basin. Lunch will be pizza from the Overland. Be sure to bring information about your business, happenings, etc., for a great networking opportunity. 

Chamber member news: 

• St. Andrews: Neat Repeat thrift shop, Sept. 12, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Come see what is new. Clothes for fall and winter. 

• BCAC: Bingo the first Tuesday of each month. Trivia night third Thursday of each month. Live music Oct. 3. 

• Basin/Greybull Farmers Market: Wednesdays in Basin 4-6 pm. In Greybull Saturdays 9 a.m. - noon. Support our local farmers! Corn, tomatoes, beans, oh my. 

• Children’s Resource Center: Free developmental screenings for children 0-5 years old. Hearing and vision screening are also included.
