Cheatgrass in the Big Horn Basin: An in-person workshop and field tour

Washakie County Conservation District (WCCD) will host a workshop focused on Annual Invasive Grasses on May 12, 2026 at the Washakie Museum and Cultural Center. This workshop partners with University of Wyoming’s Institute for Managing Annual Grasses Invading Natural Ecosystems (IMAGINE), with other presenters to include USDA NRCS Worland Field Office, Washakie Weed & Pest, UW Washakie Extension, and BLM Worland Field office. 

This is a free event, and the public is encouraged to attend. Presenters will cover ecology, identification, environmental & economic impacts, management & control options, as well as planning and funding opportunities.
