Holy Week Services announced

Churches in south Big Horn County have announced the following special services for Holy Week, which begins with Palm Sunday on March 29 and continues through Easter Sunday on April 5.

St. Andrews/Grace Lutheran — Maundy Thursday 5:30 p.m. table eucharist and middle Eastern style supper; Good Friday Stations of the Cross, 5:30 p.m.; Easter Sunday: Holy Communion with Pastor Tim Trippel, 11 a.m.

Grace Lutheran Church, Greybull, and Zion Lutheran Church, Emblem — Wednesday, April 1: Youth Group Movie Night featuring “The Passion,” 5 p.m.  Everyone is welcome; Thursday, April 2: Maundy Thursday at Grace, potluck supper at 5:15 p.m., worship service at 6 p.m. Grace will provide pizza. Zion members asked to bring salads and/or desserts.; Good Friday at Zion, potluck supper at 5:15 p.m., followed by worship service at 6 p.m.  Zion will provide soups, Grace members are asked to bring crackers/bread and desserts; Easter Sunday at Zion: 9 a.m. service followed by potluck brunch and egg hunt for the kids; Easter Sunday at Grace: Potluck brunch at 10 a.m. followed by service at 11 a.m.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church — Holy Thursday: Mass of the Lord’s Supper, 7 p.m. (adoration to follow); Good Friday: Passion of the Lord, noon;  Easter Vigil, 8 p.m.; Easter Sunday: 8:30 a.m. (Spanish).

First Presbyterian Church in Greybull and Shell Community Church —Maundy Thursday-Good Friday service for both churches is at Shell Thursday at 5:30 p.m. starting with a potluck dinner and including a communion service.  Easter service for both churches are at the regular times of 8:30 and 10 a.m.

Basin First Baptist Church — Palm Sunday service, 10:30 a.m.; Good Friday service, 7 p.m.; Easter Sunday sunrise service, 7 a.m., followed by breakfast potluck and 10:30 a.m. worship service.

Grace Southern Baptist Church – Easter Sunday: He is Risen worship at 9:15 a.m., breakfast potluck at 9:45 a.m. and worship service at 10:45 a.m.

Cloud Peak Church — Easter Sunday breakfast at 8:15 a.m., followed by worship service at 9:30 a.m.

Burlington Community Church — Regular Worship on Easter 10 a.m. 

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints — Palm Sunday services in Otto Ward (9-10 a.m.) Burlington 1st (10:30-11:30 a.m.) and Burlington 2nd (noon-1 p.m.)  Easter Saturday-Sunday is General Conference with sessions from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Easter Sunday. 

Greybull First Baptist — Palm Sunday Service 10 a.m.; Foot Washing Wednesday, 6 p.m.; Friday reading of the Crucifiction, 6 p.m. ending in darkness;   Easter Sunday 10:45 worship and communion. 

Greybull Alliance Church — Regular Service Palm Sunday, 10:30 a.m. Good Friday Service 6 p.m. Easter Sunrise Service with Basin First Baptist 7 a.m., Easter Sunday Service 10:30 a.m. 

United Methodist Church-Basin — Regular Service Palm & Easter Sunday 11 a.m. 

United Methodist Church-Hyattville — Regular Service Palm & Easter Sunday 9  a.m.
