• Police Report
The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):
Jan. 26 — Resident on North Fifth street requested to talk with an officer about some domestic issues in the household.
Two dogs were reported at large on C Street, officer was unable to find dogs.
Jan. 27 — Basin PD assisted a resident on South Sixth Street.
An officer assisted the Greybull PD with a larceny call at the parking lot across from the Maverik for a stolen truck from the Powell area.
Jan. 28 — An officer issued an ordinance violation on Big B Drive.
An officer issued an ordinance violation on South Ninth Street.
An officer issued an ordinance violation on South Seventh Street.
An officer attempted to issue an ordinance violation on Holdrege Avenue.
Basin PD was notified of an injured Deer on North Fourth Street. Officer advised Wyoming Highway Patrol.
Jan. 29 — An officer attempted to issue an ordinance violation on North Eighth Street.
An officer issued an ordinance violation on North Fifth Street.
An officer issued an ordinance violation on South Ninth Street.
Jan. 30 — An officer went to a resident’s home on North Fifth Street who is holding a lost German Shepard in the garage with a leash, the dog does have 2025 dog tags.
Basin PD responded to animal problems on North Fourth Street.
An officer assisted the general public at the Overland Express Mart.
Feb. 1 — A scam was reported on E Street.
An officer assisted the general public on South Eighth street, information was given.

Jan. 26 – 3:56 a.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office dispatch assisted Park County Sheriff’s Office.
8:38 a.m.: An officer assisted a motorist at Burlington Schools on School Avenue in Burlington.
4:15 p.m.: A traffic hazard was reported on Highway 31 in Hyattville.
Jan. 27 – 10:47 a.m.: Broken wood was reported as a traffic hazard in the middle of Highway 30 in Burlington.
12:31 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Highway Patrol on Highway 310 in Greybull.
12:51 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I report was made on Highway 310 in Greybull.
5:28 p.m.: BHCSO dispatch assisted a citizen at their office on Murphy Street in Basin.
5:41 p.m.: A citizen complaint was taken on Highway 14 in Greybull.
8:02 p.m.: A truck stolen from the Powell area was reported across from Maverik Country Store on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
8:30 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Greybull Police Department on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
Jan. 28 – 8:26 a.m.: Community relations were conducted at Greybull Elementary School on Sixth Avenue South in Greybull.
5:59 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Department of Family Services at their office on Murphy Street in Basin.
7:01 p.m.: BHCSO was unable to locate cattle reported out on Highway 30 in Burlington.
7:05 p.m.: A traffic complaint was taken on Highway 20 South in Manderson.
7:28 p.m.: A potential gas leak was reported on Highway 14 in Shell.
Jan. 29 – 2:32 p.m.: BHCSO was asked to assist in a civil matter regarding water rights at their office on Murphy Street in Basin.
Jan. 30 – 10:45 a.m.: Skis were reported stolen from Antelope Butte Ski Lodge on Forest Service Road 830 in Shell.
1:14 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Basin Police Department on South Sixth Street in Basin.
3:56 p.m.: A traffic hazard was reported on Highway 30 in Basin.
4:57 p.m.: A cow was reported loose on Highway 30 in Burlington.
6:20 p.m.: BHCSO was unable to locate cattle reported out at the Nahney Jensen Subdivision on Greybull River Road in Greybull.
7:23 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at Riverside Middle High School on West B Street in Basin.
Jan. 31 – 2:20 p.m.: BHCSO assisted a motorist at Highway 32 and Highway 14/16/20 in Emblem.
2:23 p.m.: An abandoned vehicle was reported on Highway 32 in Emblem.
3:25 p.m.: BHCSO dispatch assisted Washakie County Sheriff’s Office.
10:02 p.m.: Three black cows out near the substation in Basin were found to be a false alarm.
10:50 p.m.: Two cows were reported out on Highway 30 in Burlington.
Feb. 1 – 1:15 a.m.: An extra patrol was conducted at the Greybull Rest Area on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull.
2:55 a.m.: An injured deer was reported on Highway 20 South in Basin.
11:17 a.m.: A found dog was reported on Lane 43.
12:49 p.m.: A scam was reported on Road 28 in Greybull.
7:49 p.m.: BHCSO assisted with a vehicle being towed on North Fourth Street in Basin.
9:09 p.m.: A caller reported they came home to a snare around their dog’s neck on Lane 35 in Emblem.
ARRESTS
Spencer Andrew Redland of Manderson was arrested on a probation violation and sentenced on Monday, Jan. 26, served four days.
