• Police Report
The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):
Jan. 19 — Basin PD assisted a resident with information only.
An officer assisted the Manderson Fire Department with an escort.
Basin PD took a report from the Overland Express Mart concerning a power pole down on the corner of Fourth Street blocking the highway; lines were down.
An officer responded to threats being made on Montana Avenue; all was clear.
Jan. 20 — Citizen complaint was received on South Third Street.
A wallet was lost on A Street.
A K-9 search was initiated on West B Street; all was clear.

Jan. 21 — An officer gave verbal warning to owner of a dog at large on North Seventh and Hart Avenue.
Basin PD assisted the public at the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office (BHCSO).
A caller reported someone hitting the awning at the Wyoming Retirement Center with their vehicle. An officer was requested to come take a report.
An officer attempted to assist the public on South Sixth Street. Person was not located.
Jan. 22 — An officer issued an ordinance violation on Holdrege Avenue; follow up needed.
An officer was unable to issue an ordinance violation on West B Street.
Basin PD took a citizen complaint on Montana Avenue.
A civil standby was requested on South Eighth Street; no action was required.
Jan. 23 — Basin PD was requested for a civil standby on South Eighth Street.
• Sheriff's Report

Jan. 19 – 5:47 a.m.: A lost dog was reports on North Fifth Street in Basin.
8:37 a.m.: Community relations were conducted at Big Horn Rural Fore District No. 3 on North Sherman Avenue in Manderson.
2:26 p.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office assisted the public at their office on Murphy Street in Basin.
4:47 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted on Orchard Bench Road in Basin.
8:44 p.m.: A citation was issued in a traffic stop on Ninth Avenue North in Greybull.
Jan. 20 – 1:27 p.m.: A caller reported their neighbor’s goats were in their pasture again on Cemetery Road in Greybull.
1:41 p.m.: An animal problem was reported to BHCSO at their office in Basin.
2:04 p.m.: A K-9 search was conducted at Riverside Middle High School on West B Street in Basin.
Jan. 21 -- 3:54 p.m.: A controlled burn was reported at River Hills Custom Harvest on Highway 31 in Manderson.
9:24 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted on Privateer Lane in Greybull.
Jan. 22 – 9:19 a.m..: BHCSO assisted the public with the abandoned vehicle process at their office on Murphy Street in Basin.
4:41 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at the Greybull Recreation District on First Avenue South in Greybull.
5:54 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at Riverside Middle High School on West B Street in Basin.
6:01 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Greybull Police Department at Third Avenue North and North Fourth Street in Greybull.
9:35 p.m.: A traffic complaint was made at Road 26 and Highway 20 in Greybull.
Jan. 23 – 1:26 a.m.: An extra patrol was conducted at the Greybull Rest Area on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull.
1:46 a.m.: An extra patrol was conducted at East River Bridge on Highway 14 in Greybull.
11:17 a.m.: An officer assisted a motorist at Highway 20 and Orchard Bench Road in Basin.
3:41 p.m.: BHCSO dispatch assisted Thermopolis Police Department.
5:30 p.m.: BHCSO dispatch assisted a motorist at Highway 310 and Highway 20 in Greybull.
9:54 p.m.: A pilot reported to Cody Interagency Dispatch that they spotted a fire between Greybull and Worland; it was unable to be located.
10:21 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted at Greybull Rest Area on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull.
Jan. 24 – 8:05 a.m.: An open 911 line was cleared on Lane 40 in Basin.
4:38 p.m.: Sheep were reported out on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull.
7:41 p.m.: A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported on Highway 20 South in Greybull.
10:14 p.m.: Headlights were reported seen off Highway 14/16/20 in Emblem, checked ok; a BHCSO unit was cancelled.
Jan. 25 – 12:31 p.m.: A scam was reported to BHCSO at their office in Basin.
