The following calls were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office: (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the Court:

Nov. 10 – 8:08 a.m.: A caller reported finding cows in their field on Orchard Bench Road in Basin. 

10:43 a.m.: Big Horn County Sheriffs Office received a tip from the FBI hotline. 

6:41 p.m.: A citation was issued in a traffic stop on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

Nov. 11 – 6:36 a.m.: Officers were unable to locate steers reported loose on Highway 30 in Burlington. 

10:44 a.m.: BHSCO assisted a citizen at their office on Murphy Street in Basin. 

11:48 a.m.: BHSCO assisted Basin Police Department at Riverside Middle High School on West B Street in Basin. 

1:16 p.m.: Dispatch took a utility call to South Eighth Street in Basin to assist with a Town of Basin sewer problem. 

1:58 p.m.: BHSCO assisted a motorist on Highway 310 in Greybull. 

6:25 p.m.: A car vs. deer accident was reported at Wyoming Retirement Center on Highway 20 South in Basin. 

Nov. 12 – BHSCO assisted the general public at their office in Basin. 

2:11 p.m.: A traffic complaint on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull was referred to another agency. 

4:14 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report was made on a black Ford F150 on Highway 30 in Otto, officers were unable to locate. 

6:02 p.m.: Officers were unable to locate a semi with a flatbed reportedly parked in the lane of travel at Highway 14/16/20 and Road 10 in Emblem. 

9:03 p.m.: BHSCO was unable to locate a cow reported loose on Highway 20 South in Manderson. 

Nov. 13 – 7:49 a.m.: Sheep dogs were reported at large on Road 14 in Emblem. 

Nov. 14 -- 10:37 a.m.: A traffic hazard was reported on Greybull River Road in Greybull. 

10:47 a.m.: A toolbox was reported lost from Center Street in Basin. 

4:55 p.m.: Dispatch handled a report of cows loose on Highway 30 in Otto. 

1:54 p.m.: A follow-up was made on a traffic hazard reported on Greybull River Road in Greybull. 

3:56 p.m.: A caller reported a white GMC pickup drove through their fence on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

5:41 p.m.: A controlled burn was reported on Highway 30 in Otto. 

8:03 p.m.: An officer assisted a motorist on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

Nov. 15 – 2:31 p.m.: A traffic stop resulted in an adult arrest at First Avenue North and North Fourth Street in Greybull. 

3:27 p.m.: A K9 search was initiated at First Avenue North and North Fourth Street in Greybull. 

3:34 p.m.: A manager at Ace Hardware on North Sixth Street in Greybull reported a customer threatened her after she would not accept a return and was standing in the parking lot next to a white Jeep pickup. 

Nov. 16 – 1:15 a.m.: A vehicle vs. antelope accident was reported on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

3:22 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of livestock out on Highway 20 South in Basin. 

3:37 p.m.: Officers were unable to locate livestock reported out on Highway 32 in Emblem. 

5:43 p.m.: A traffic complaint was made on a Sierra speeding aggressively and passing on the double yellow of Highway 20 South in Basin. 

6:04 p.m.: Search and Rescue was called to assist with getting someone out of the Bush Creek area in Shell. The caller reported their companion was having difficulty walking back to their vehicle at the end of Trapper Creek Road and had run out of water; S&R assisted them back to their vehicle and turned them over to EMS. 

6:08 p.m.: Trespassing was reported on Lane 56 in Big Horn County. 

7:42 p.m.:  Gunshots were reported on Highway 31 in Manderson, possibly poaching. 

7:50 p.m.: An accidental call was made on Shady Lane in Greybull. 

11:51 p.m.: A citation was issued in a traffic stop at North Fourth Street and Murphy Street in Basin. 

ARRESTS

George Grant Ward of Lovell was sentenced serving time for bond revocation on Wednesday, Nov. 12, to be released Dec. 4. 

Thomas Joshua Ware of Lovell was sentenced serving time for a probation violation on Monday, Nov. 10, released Monday, Nov. 17.

 • Circuit Court

Recent court fines and sentences handed down or bonds forfeited in the circuit court of Judge Edward G. Luhm:  

Thomas J. Ware, Lovell, driving while license cancelled, suspended or revoked if not suspended, $450; driving without interlock device: licensed under article – first offense, jail: 7 days, $420.

George G. Ward, Lovell, DUI: alcohol – incapable of safely driving – third offense within 10 years, jail: 180 days, suspended: 150 days, supervised probation: 3 years, $1,270; no tail lights, $100.

Abduvali Khikmatullaev, Philadelphia, Pa., failure to maintain a single lane, $100.

Fabian Garay, Exeter, Calif., hunt, trap, fish or collect antlers/ horns on private land without permission, $450.
