• Sheriff's Report

The following calls were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office: (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the Court:

Oct. 13 – 6:33 a.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office assisted Nasau County, Florida from their office on Murphy Street in Basin, cleared with an adult arrest. 

8:14 a.m.: A caller reported that loose cows had returned to their property on Highway 30 in Basin a second time. 

12:17 p.m.: Ten to fifteen cows were reported wandering Highway 30 in Basin. 

4:20 p.m.: A livestock guardian dog was reported lost on Highway 31 in Manderson. 

4:27 p.m.: A caller requested help with traffic control around 9 a.m. on Oct. 14 on Highway 14 in Greybull. 

7:24 p.m.: A traffic complaint was reported unfounded on Highway 20 in Greybull. 

8 p.m.: An officer assisted a motorist on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

8:12 p.m.: An officer assisted a motorist at Highway 20 South and Golf Course Road in Basin. 

Oct. 14 – 7:12 a.m.: A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported on Highway 30 in Otto. 

7:22 a.m.: A traffic hazard was reported at Highway 30 and Greybull River Road in Basin. 

9:08 a.m.: A disconnected 911 call was reported at Three Rivers Health on Highway 20 South in Basin. 

10:08 a.m.: One black cow was reported loose on Highway 30 in Basin. 

11:38 a.m.: A backpack was found on Forest Service Road 17 in Big Horn County. 

12:07 p.m.: One black cow was reported out on Highway 30 in Burlington. 

12:16 p.m.: Sheep were reported in the roadway on Highway 14/16/20 n Greybull. 

4:07 p.m.: BHSCO assisted Probation and Parole at their office in Basin, cleared with an adult arrest. 

5:44 p.m.: A rapid SOS ping on Highway 14/16/20 in Burlington was cleared. 

9:35 p.m.: Dispatch assisted Cody Police Department.

Oct. 15 -- 10:05 a.m.: Dispatch assisted a caller with questions about an abandonment title. 

11:21 a.m.: An extra patrol on Highway 31 in Hyattville checked ok. 

3:03 p.m.: Trespassing was reported at Paint Rock Enterprises on Lane 49.5 in Hyattville. 

6:20 p.m.: Officers were unable to locate a subject in a call to assist the public on Highway 14/16/20 in Emblem. 

Oct. 16 -- 8:41 a.m.: Dispatch was informed of a fire alarm test on C Street in Basin. 

10:07 a.m.: A traffic complaint was made on South Sixth Street in Greybull. 

1:50 p.m.: A hunter was reported trespassing at a cabin on Forest Service Road 27 in Ten Sleep. 

1:59 p.m.: A lost dog was reported on Road 31.5 in Manderson. 

3:45 p.m.: A traffic complaint was made on Highway 20 South in Manderson. 

4:07 p.m.: BHSCO was called to assist Big Horn County, Mont. with a report of an accident with property damage. 

5:46 p.m.: A report of a vehicle vs. deer accident on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull was referred to another agency. 

6:17 p.m.: Livestock was reported out on Highway 310 in Greybull. 

6:44 p.m.: BHSCO was called to assist out-of-state hunters on Forest Service Road 352 in Big Horn County when one of their party was unaccounted for, they returned on their own. 

11:10 p.m.: A dog was reported hit on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

Oct. 17 – 10:23 a.m.: A rapid SOS ping on Beaver Creek Road in Shell was advised.

4:22 p.m.: Livestock was reported out on Highway 30 in Otto. 

Oct. 18 -- 10:32 a.m.: BHSCO was called to assist the public at Forest Service Road 666 and Highway 14A on Big Horn County. 

12:40 p.m.: A lost animal was reported on Lane 36.5 in Greybull. 

1:11 p.m.: A cow was reported out on Highway 20 South in Basin. 

4:42 p.m.: A deer with possible CWD was reported on Rimrock Road in Greybull. 

5:13 p.m.: Livestock was reported loose on Highway 30 in Otto. 

7:04 p.m.: Field contact was made on Highway 20 South in Manderson. 

Oct. 19 – 12:59 a.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report was made to BHSCO in Basin. 

9 a.m.: Sheep were reported out on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

11:10 a.m.: A deceased deer was reported on Rimrock Road in Greybull. 

5:20 p.m.: A white pickup truck was reportedly unable to maintain its lane of travel southbound on Highway 20 South in Basin, officers were unable to locate. 

11:23 p.m.: Officers were unable to locate their subject in a call to assist Washakie County. 

ARRESTS

Shaun Michael Thompson of Deaver was arrested on a warrant Oct. 13 to be held for Nasau County, Florida. 

Cecilio Hilario Zubia of Burlington was arrested on Oct. 14 in Basin for six days in accordance with an arrest and hold by Probation and Parole.

Recent court fines and sentences handed down or bonds forfeited in the circuit court of Judge Edward G. Luhm: 

Erick Munoz Mendoza, Lakewood, Colo., operating a CMV without a valid CDL license, $190; non-English speaking driver, $260,
