Military appreciation game is now Saturday

The military appreciation football game is now Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Riverside football field. World War II veteran Johnny Gibler toss the coin at the start of the game. 

Veterans who would like to come on the field with the players at the start of the game are asked to be at the field at 1:30 p.m. Gather at the northeast corner of the field. 

Special music and tributes to veterans and their families will occur at halftime. 

During the game, attendees may visit the American Legion Auxiliary, POW and chamber tables. The chamber table will have ornaments on which veterans’ names and branch of service may be written; the ornaments will be used to decorate a tree during the holidays.
