• Police Report

The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):

March 30 — Suspicious circumstances occurred on South Ninth Street, with information passed on to law enforcement.

Basin PD took information about a set of keys found on West B Street.

A lost gas card was reported on Antelope Street.

An officer responded to a domestic dispute on Matteson Avenue.

March 31 — A resident reported an awful smell when neighbors turned oxygen on at their home located on North Eighth Street.

Basin PD arranged for a 381 hold on a resident on Hwy 20 South.

Basin PD assisted highway patrol outside of Big Horn County.

An officer responded to a report of a gunshot on the one hundred block of E Street. Unable to locate.

April 1 — An officer assisted the Department of Revenue on South Fourth Street.

A citizen reported a dog problem occurred on North Fourth Street.

April 3 — Basin PD reported property damage done at Washington Park.

April 4 — A report of chickens and a turkey out of the road near Big Horn Avenue and South Fourth Street.

• Sheriff's Report

The following calls were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office: (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the Court:

March 30 - 11:45 a.m.: A fire was reported at Lane 38 and Highway 20 South in Basin, cleared by patrol.

2:28 p.m.: A citizen asked for a deputy’s assistance with a vehicle that was sold and remained unpaid for at Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office on Murphy Street in Basin. 

7:55 p.m.: A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported on Highway 433 in Manderson. 

9:52 p.m.: A domestic dispute was reported on Matteson Avenue in Basin. 

March 31 - 7:42 a.m.: An extra patrol was conducted on Rairden Lane in Manderson. 

11:04 a.m.: BHCSO assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol outside of Big Horn County. 

11:25 a.m.: A citizen complaint was taken at Road 26 and Road 26.5 in Greybull. 

5:12 p.m.: A citation was issued in a traffic stop on Highway 20 South in Manderson. 

7:28 p.m.: A caller reported a neighbor’s controlled burn was blowing sparks onto their property at Greybull River Road and Highway 30 in Greybull. 

April 1 - 9:37 a.m.: A lost puppy was reported on Lane 35 in Emblem. 

11:06 a.m.: Suspicious activity was reported on Road 24.5 in Basin. 

11:16 a.m.: An officer collected evidence of illegal dumping at Road 26 and Road 26.5 in Greybull. 

2:58 p.m.: A traffic complaint was made on Highway 20 South in Greybull. 

6:20 p.m.: Smoke was reported on Highway 14 in Shell. 

6:53 p.m.: Two suspects were reported lighting grass on fire on Windy Run in Greybull, officers were unable to locate. 

11:47 p.m.: A dog problem was reported on North Fourth Street in Basin. 

April 2 - 1:52 p.m.: A custody dispute was reported to BHCSO in Basin. 

3:58 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Basin Police Department on South Sixth Street in Basin. 

4:24 p.m.: A business check at Ace Hardware on North Sixth Street in Greybull was cleared with an adult arrest. 

April 3 - 8:42 p.m.: A utility issue was reported on Highway 14 in Shell. This was the first of four calls regarding the power outage east of Greybull up until 3:04 p.m. 

6:25 p.m.: Property damage was reported at Washington Park on C Street in Basin. 

8:58 p.m.: A citation was issued in a traffic stop at Golf Course Road and Highway 20 South in Basin. 

11:37 p.m.: Field contact was made at Lane 39 and Highway 30 in Otto. 

3:29 p.m.: A possible structure fire was reported on Highway 14 in Shell with smoke coming out of a roof. 

7:32 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Greybull Police Department on Third Avenue South in Greybull. 

11:20 p.m.: A deer carcass was removed as a traffic hazard from Highway 32 in Emblem. 

ARRESTS

Neveah West Lundberg of Lovell was arrested in Big Horn County on Monday, March 30 on a felony probation violation and failure to pay warrant, to be held for another agency. 

Keith Lee Searle of Manderson was sentenced serving time in Basin on Friday, April 3.

Recent court fines and sentences handed down or bonds forfeited in the circuit court of Judge Edward G. Luhm:
