• Police Report
The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):
Feb. 2 — Police responded to a disturbance on South Fifth Street; all was cleared.
Basin PD took a report of vandalism on Highway 30 at the baseball field.
An officer issued an ordinance violation for leaves piled in the alley between North Seventh and Eighth Street. Leaves could blow into neighbor’s yard.
An officer issued an ordinance violation on South Sixth Street.
Feb. 3 — An officer was on South Sixth Street enforcing an ordinance violation.
A larceny occurred on A Street.
Basin PD was requested to speak to a resident on Montana Avenue about a speeding vehicle in their neighborhood.
A water leak on North Seventh Street was reported to Basin PD.
Feb. 4 — Basin PD booked Cody Wade Williams of Basin on battery and reckless endangerment.
An officer issued two ordinance violation on North Eighth Street.
An officer issued an ordinance violation on South Ninth Street.
An officer issued an ordinance violation on F Street.
Feb. 6 — An officer assisted the general public on North Eighth.
Basin PD responded to animal problems on North Fourth Street.
An officer assisted the general public at the Overland Express Mart.
Feb. 7 — Basin PD assisted the general public on Montana Avenue.
Basin PD responded to a call about threats on North Eighth Street.
An officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street.
Basin PD assisted another agency on Fourth Street.
An officer responded to a custody dispute at the Family Dollar Store on North Fifth Street.
A suspicious person was seen on E Street and North Seventh Street.

Feb. 2 – 12:30 a.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office was called to assist Basin Police Department at South Fifth Street in Basin, the call was reportedly unfounded.
3:58 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Highway Patrol at North Fourth Street and C Street in Basin.
7:04 p.m.: Cows were reported out on Greybull River Road in Greybull.
7:38 p.m.: Dispatch handled a utility call on West E Street in Basin.
Feb. 3 – 11:19 a.m.: Suspicious activity was reported on Horseshoe Lane in Greybull.
4:56 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Park County Sheriff’s Office from their office on Murphy Street in Basin.
Feb. 4 – 5:52 a.m.: A one vehicle rollover was reported on Highway 32 in Emblem.
4:24 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Basin Police Department at Big Horn County Library on C Street in Basin.
4:40 p.m.: An officer assisted a motorist on Highway 20 South in Basin.
6:08 p.m.: BHCSO was unable to locate a black cow reported out on Highway 14 in Greybull.
6:47 p.m.: A traffic hazard was reported on Highway 14/16/20 in Emblem.
Feb. 5 – 11:48 a.m.: An officer assisted a motorist on Highway 310 in Greybull.
4:09 p.m.: BHCSO answered a question regarding license plates at their office in Basin.
6:21 p.m.: Community relations were conducted at Riverside High School on West B Street in Basin.
6:30 p.m.: A missing dog was reported on Fourth Street in Shell.
Feb. 6 – 1:48 a.m.: BHCSO dispatch assisted Washakie County Sheriff’s Office with a welfare check.
10:13 a.m.: An Apple iPhone crash alert at Granite Pass snowmobile area on Highway 14 in Greybull was cleared.
12:23 p.m.: A scam was reported to Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office in Basin.
2:21 p.m.: A traffic complaint was taken at Road 17 and Highway 30 in Otto.
2:22 p.m.: A traffic hazard was reported on Highway 20 South in Basin.
3:32 p.m.: An officer assisted a motorist on Highway 20 South in Manderson.
4:20 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Probation and Parole on Second Avenue South in Greybull.
7:14 p.m.: A citation was issued in a traffic stop at North Seventh Street and Fifth Avenue North in Greybull.
8:08 p.m.: Field contact was made at Greybull Motel on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
Feb. 7 – 7:11 a.m.: Livestock was reported loose on Greybull River Road in Greybull.
10:46 a.m.: Goats were reported out on Highway 20 South in Greybull.
11:15 a.m.: Community relations were conducted at Burlington Schools on School Avenue in Burlington.
3:30 p.m.: Dispatch handled a 911 hang up at Greybull High School on North Sixth Street in Greybull.
5:30 p.m.: BHCSO conducted community relations at Big Horn County Fairgrounds on Holdrege Avenue in Basin.
5:50 p.m.: Field contact was made on South Fourth Street in Basin.
6:31 p.m.: A truck vs. deer accident was reported on Highway 14 in Shell.
Feb. 8 – 12:40 a.m.: BHCSO assisted Greybull Police Department at Greybull Apartments office on North Second Street in Greybull.
5:58 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report was made on Highway 14/16/20 in Emblem.
7:20 p.m.: A motorist was reported stranded at Deer Haven on Highway 16 in Ten Sleep.
ARRESTS
Keisha Ann Cahill of Powell was arrested on Highway 14/16/20 on Feb. 5 for five misdemeanor charges; possession of a controlled substance in crystalline form, defrauding a drug and alcohol screening test, possession of a controlled substance in plant form under three ounces, driving under suspension and speeding in a 70 mph zone, bailed after one day.
Ty Russell Burbank of Cody was sentenced to serve 19 days on Feb. 6.
• Circuit Court
Recent court fines and sentences handed down or bonds forfeited in the circuit court of Judge Edward G. Luhm:
Megan C. Stebner, Greybull, DUI alcohol equal to or greater than .08% - first offense within 10 years, jail: 90 days, suspended: 88 days, unsupervised probation: 6 months, $620.
Anthony Pease, Greybull, four counts sexual assault: first degree – threaten, sexual assault: third degree – sexual contact without intrusion, one explicit sexual conduct with a child, all counts bound over.
Anthony Peters, Buffalo, driver no seat belt, $25; speeding too fast for conditions, $250.
Justin A. Foster, Lovell, breach of peace, unsupervised probation: 3 months, $570.
