• Police Report

The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):

Jan. 5 — An officer responded to threats being made on South Eighth Street, a report was taken.

Michael David Ernest, Greybull, was booked for domestic and aggravated battery.

A puppy was at large on Myrtle Avenue and South Sixth Street.

A lost animal on South Eighth Street was reported.

Jan. 6 — Animal problems on South Eighth Street were reported.

Jan. 7 — The Basin PD issued an ordinance violation at South Fourth Street.

An officer assisted CARES; information was taken.

Basin PD took information about a scam on South Sixth.

A resident on West G Street reported receiving threats from the ex who lives in Alaska but was in Basin.

Jan. 8 — An officer took information from a citizen on South Sixth Street.

Goats were reportedly out on Big Horn Avenue and South Fifth Street.

A dog at large on South Fourth and A Street was reported.

Basin PD received a call of goats wandering up and down Big Horn Avenue.

A vehicle repossession took place on South Third Street.

Dog at large with a request for a welfare check on Big Horn Avenue.

Dog at large at the Rose Garden RV Park was reported.

Goats were reported on South Fourth and Big Horn Avenue, but officer was unable to locate.

Jan. 9 — Basin PD assisted the Greybull PD on Sixth Ave South, Greybull.

An officer helped a citizen at the BHCSO.

Jan. 10 — An officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street.

• Sheriff's Report

The following calls were received by the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office: (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the Court:

Jan. 5 – 9:54 a.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch handled a call regarding a locked vehicle at Ace Hardware on North Sixth Street in Greybull. 

3:17 p.m.: BHCSO Dispatch assisted Northern Arapahoe Department of Family Services from their office on Murphy Street in Basin. 

6 p.m.: An officer assisted a motorist on Road 26 in Greybull. 

9:09 p.m.: A possible scam was reported to BHCSO at their office in Basin. 

Jan. 6 – 1:25 p.m.: An injured golden eagle was reported on Highway 30 in Otto. 

9:06 p.m.: A citizen complaint was taken on Sherman Avenue in Manderson. 

Jan. 7 – 12:22 a.m.: Black cows were reported loose on Greybull River Road in Greybull. 

12:29 p.m.: An officer was unable to locate sheep reported out on Highway 20 South in Basin. 

1:20 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Greybull Police Department at Los Gabanes on Greybull Avenue in Greybull. 

2:09 p.m.: BHCSO was called to assist in a dispute over furniture on Highway 14 in Shell. 

6:38 p.m.: An abandoned vehicle was reported at the Greybull Rest Area on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

10:29 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted at Big Horn County South Airport on Hercules Road in Greybull. 

Jan. 8 – 9:07 p.m.: Cattle were reported on Highway 30 in Basin. 

11:28 a.m.: A single black cow was reported out on Highway 36 in Basin. 

11:32 a.m.: A livestock issue was reported on Cemetery Road in Greybull. 

12:19 p.m.: Injured wildlife was reported on Highway 30 in Otto. 

5:56 p.m.: Vandalism was reported at the Greybull Rest Area on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

7:41 p.m.: An abandoned vehicle was reported on Lane 40 in Burlington. 

11:05 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted at the Greybull Rest Area on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

11:34 p.m.: An officer removed a deer carcass from Highway 310 in Greybull. 

Jan. 9 – 3:36 a.m.: An extra patrol was conducted at the Greybull Rest Area on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull.

12:04 p.m.: An individual was reported approaching the edge of the bluffs near Greybull Elementary School on Sixth Avenue South in Greybull. 

5:07 p.m.: A one vehicle accident on Basin Garden Road in Basin was cleared with an adult arrest. 

Jan. 10 – 10:14 a.m.: A utility issue was reported on Fourth Avenue North in Greybull, handled by dispatch. 

3:47 p.m.: An abandoned vehicle was reported on Highway 14 in Shell. 

6:26 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted at Big Horn County Weed and Pest on Highway 310 in Greybull. 

7:36 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted at the Emblem Post Office. 

Jan. 11 – 9:41 a.m.: A cow was reported out on Golf Course Road in Basin. 

11:35 a.m.: A livestock issue was reported on Greybull River Road in Greybull. 

3:51 p.m.: Dispatch assisted a caller with questions about an impounded vehicle. 

8:35 p.m.: BHCSO assisted Greybull Police Department on Third Avenue South in Greybull. 

9 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted at the Greybull Rest Area on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull.

ARRESTS

Katie Irene Murph, 19, of Greybull was arrested for misdemeanor charges of consuming alcohol and driving while under the influence in Basin on Friday, Jan. 9 

Trista Leeann Stulc of Worland was arrested for a probation violation in Basin on Saturday, Jan. 10.

Miguel C. Garcia, Lovell, DUI alcohol equal to or greater than .08% - first offense within 10 years, jail: 90 days, suspended: 88 days, unsupervised probation: 6 months, $938.

Branden E. Jasso, careless driving, first offense, $240.

Tyler M. Harvey, Cowley, 2 counts of violation of county regulation relative to dogs running at large/vicious dogs, $140.
