• Police Report
The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):
Dec. 8 — An officer went to the Storage Shed to issue a weed ordinance. No contact was made.
An officer issued an ordinance violation on South Ninth Street.
Basin PD assisted another agency with a disturbance on South Sixth Street.
An officer assisted a motorist on US Highway 16-20.
Dec. 9 — Basin PD assisted probation and patrol on South Fifth Street.
An officer issued an ordinance violation on West Road.
Property damage occurred at the Family Dollar. Responding officer took a report.
Dec. 11 — Basin PD assisted the Greybull PD on US 16-20 South, Greybull.
Dec. 12 — Property damage occurred on South Ninth Street.
Basin PD assisted the Greybull PD on a call at the Greybull Apartments, where a citizen reported hearing four gun shot rounds down by the river.
Dec. 13 — Dogs at large on East B Street were reported.
A resident reported a missing dog on South Fourth Street.
Dogs at large on River Drive were reported; officer was unable to locate.
There was a citizen complaint on Montana Avenue.
An officer assisted the public on South Sixth Street.
Dec. 13 — Basin PD assisted the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office with an inmate who was refusing to move.
An officer assisted the Wyoming Highway Patrol on South Fourth Street.

Dec. 8 – 7:04 a.m.: Four to five cows were reported loose on Highway 30 in Burlington.
7:32 a.m.: A horse was reported on Highway 30 in Burlington.
7:46 a.m.: A plane landed on Highway 14 in Greybull.
8:11 a.m.: A suspicious bag of clothes was reported lying in the roadway on Lane 38 in Burlington.
11:04 a.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office assisted Basin Police Department with a disturbance on South Sixth Street in Basin.
12:36 p.m.: A cow was reported out on Orchard Bench Road in Basin.
12:36 p.m.: A truck was reported speeding on Orchard Bench Road in Basin.
1:30 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted on Orchard Bench Road in Basin.
1:49 p.m.: A lost dog was reported at Shell Falls on Highway 14 in Shell.
4:38 p.m.: An unfounded report of several vehicles stuck in the lane of travel on Highway 14 in Shell was taken.
4:45 p.m.: An antelope was injured in a vehicle vs. wildlife accident on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull, the car was reported undamaged.
5:40 p.m.: An officer checked the welfare of an occupant of a vehicle in Ranger Creek on Highway 14 in Shell.
8:27 p.m.: An officer found no one around a vehicle left on Highway 31 in Hyattville.
10:17 p.m.: A rapid SOS ping from North Eighth Street in Basin was handled by dispatch.
Dec. 9 – 8:14 a.m.: Stalking was reported to BHCSO at their office on Murphy Street in Basin.
12:03 p.m.: A tractor trailer was reported blocking the lane of travel on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull.
1:51 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted on Orchard Bench Road in Basin.
2:26 p.m.: Trespassing was reported on Lane 40 in Burlington.
11:08 p.m.: Two black cows were reported loose at Highway 30 and Greybull River Road in Otto.
Dec. 10 – 10:36 a.m.: A golden retriever was found on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull.
4 p.m.: A citation was issued in a traffic stop on Highway 20 South in Basin.
6:17 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report was made on Highway 20 South in Greybull.
6:35 p.m.: AN abandoned vehicle was reported on Highway 20 South in Basin.
Dec. 11 – 2:20 p.m.: A cow was reported out at Lane 40 and Road 5 in Burlington.
6:45 p.m.: A wildlife encounter was reported at Granite Pass snowmobile parking area on Highway 14 in Greybull.
9:10 p.m.: An officer assisted a motorist on Highway 31 in Hyattville.
Dec. 12 – 10:50 a.m.: Dispatch took a report of sheep on Highway 30 in Basin.
3 p.m.: A structure fire was reported on Oak Avenue in Burlington.
4:10 p.m.: BHSCO assisted Highway Patrol at Crooked Creek Road in Big Horn County, they were unable to locate their subject.
7:36 p.m.: BHSCO made a blood run for Wyoming Medical Center.
8:19 p.m.: A unit was cancelled in response to a burglar alarm on Road 35.5 in Shell.
10:58 p.m.: BHSCO assisted Greybull Police Department at Greybull Apartments on North Second Street in Greybull.
Dec. 14 -- 7:50 p.m.: BHSCO assisted Highway Patrol on South Fourth Street in Basin.
