• Police Report
The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):
Nov. 3 — A suspicious circumstance on Montana Avenue was reported. Basin PD informed the citizen it is a civil matter.
Suspicious person was reported on North Fourth Street.
An officer assisted the public on C Street.
A utilities call was needed on South Seventh Street.
Nov. 4 — A civil standby was provided on Hart Avenue.
Basin PD assisted the public on South Third Street.
An officer assisted a motorist on Wyoming Hwy 36.
Suspicious circumstances at the baseball fields were reported. Officer took information.
Property damage was reported on West B Street.
Nov. 5 — An officer was requested to the Overland Express Mart for a fraud incident. Officer took a report related to insufficient funds.
Basin PD assisted a motorist on US Hwy 16/20.
An officer assisted the Greybull PD with threats occurring on Greybull Avenue.
A cow was out on the highway on North Fourth Street.
Nov. 6 — A lost dog was reported on C Street.
Nov. 7 — An officer issued an ordinance violation on Wyoming Highway 30.
A citizen spoke to the Basin PD about an ordinance violation.
An officer assisted another agency on Orchard Bench Road.
Nov. 8 — A caller reported a blue and grey truck flipped upside down on Lane 42, did not see anyone around the vehicles.
An officer assisted the public at the Big Horn County Sherriff’s Office.
Nov. 9 — Dumpster lid was reported missing on North Eighth Street.
A resident came to the Basin PD for information.
An officer took care of a dog problem on South Sixth Street.
A R.E.D.D.I. report was received on a 2009 Malibu-Sea Green swerving all over the road heading into town from Hwy. 16/20 South.

Nov. 3 – 8:27 a.m.: A suspicious circumstance reported on Montana Avenue in Basin was found to be a civil matter.
2:16 p.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office assisted the general public on Rairden Lane outside Manderson.
2:32 p.m.: A traffic complaint was made on Highway 14/16/20 in Burlington.
5:39 p.m.: A car vs. deer accident was reported on Highway 14 in Shell.
8:53 p.m.: An extra patrol was made on Rairden Lane.
11:06 p.m.: An extra patrol was made at South Big Horn County Airport on Hercules Road in Greybull.
Nov. 4 – 12:56 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted on Rairden Lane.
1:56 p.m.: An officer assisted with traffic control regarding cattle in the roadway at Highway 433 and Rairden Lane in Manderson.
4:01 p.m.: BHSCO assisted Department of Family Services at their office on Murphy Street in Basin.
8:14 p.m.: BHSCO assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol at South Fourth Street and West Wyoming Avenue in Basin.
10:08 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted on Rairden Lane.
Nov. 5 – 12:38 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted on Rairden Lane.
5:15 p.m.: A male subject was reported threatening to steal vehicles and harm others on Greybull Avenue in Greybull.
5:29 p.m.: An abandoned vehicle was reported on Highway 32 in Emblem.
7:50 p.m.: Cows were reported loose on North Fourth Street in Basin.
Nov. 6 – 8:39 a.m.: An officer assisted Greybull Police Department at Dollar General on Greybull Avenue in Greybull.
11:48 a.m.: BHSCO took questions on a civil matter at their office in Basin.
1:35 p.m.: A civil standby was requested on Lane 32.5 in Shell.
4:46 p.m.: A fire was reported on Lane 40 in Burlington, cleared.
Nov. 7 – 12:26 a.m.: Field contact was made on Highway 310 in Greybull.
11:55 p.m.: A caller reported their mother had been in an accident on Lane 39 in Basin and the family was out looking for her, resulting in a cancelled unit.
12:24 p.m.: Dispatch took a report of a scam on Orchard Bench Road in Basin.
2:11 p.m.: An officer participated in community relations at the football game at Burlington Schools on School Avenue in Burlington.
2:25 p.m.: Dispatch assisted the general public on Highway 31 in Manderson.
4:42 p.m.: An officer participated in community relations at the Greybull Elks Lodge on Greybull Avenue in Greybull.
6:16 p.m.: An officer participated in community relations at the Greybull Elks Lodge.
6:32 p.m.: A vehicle vs. deer accident occurred on Highway 14 in Shell.
6:42 p.m.: A vehicle vs. deer accident occurred on Highway 14 in Shell.
8:39 p.m.: A pickup and trailer were reported in the ditch on Orchard Bench Road in Basin, found clear.
9:42 p.m.: BHSCO was unable to locate cows reported out on Highway 20 South in Manderson.
Nov. 8 – 2:06 a.m.: A citation was issued in a report of a flipped truck on Lane 42 in Basin where no one was found around the vehicle.
3:21 a.m.: BHSCO assisted Basin Police Department on Lane 42 in Basin.
3:50 a.m.: A suspicious circumstance on Rooster Road in Basin was cleared.
5:51 p.m.: Lost goats were reported on Road 30.5 in Greybull.
11:02 p.m. Dispatch assisted the public on South Sixth Street in Basin.
Nov. 9 – 8:09 a.m.: Goats were reported found on a neighbor’s property on Road 30.5 in Greybull.
5:40 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I. report was made on a sea green Malibu on Highway 20 South in Manderson.
7:41 p.m.: Larceny was reported on Lane 53 in Big Horn County.
8:10 p.m.: Cows were reported loose on Highway 20 South in Manderson.
8:41 p.m.: Field contact was made on Highway 20 South in Manderson.
11:36 p.m.: A business check was conducted at Smokehouse Saloon on Greybull Avenue in Greybull.
ARRESTS
Lee Delarine Davis Jr. of Basin was sentenced on a misdemeanor, Saturday, Nov. 8, served one day.
Grady Geritt Swiftney of Greybull was arrested on a bond violation on Sunday, Nov. 9.
