• Police Report

The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):

Sep 14 — A disturbance was reported on C Street.

A citation was issued to Emmanuel Avery Shuman.

Sep 15 — A disturbance was reported on Wyoming Highway 30.

An officer was advised of an incident on South Fourth Street.

An officer assisted the general public on South Eighth Street.

Sep 16 — A civil standby occurred on North Seventh Street.

A civil standby occurred on Wyoming 30.

Sep 18 — An officer assisted the general public at the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office (BHCSO) on Murphy Street.

An officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street regarding a report that the reporting party’s father was being mean.

An officer initiated activity on West B Street regarding a traffic complaint.

Sep 19 — An officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street.

An officer provided information on South Sixth Street.

An officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street.

Sep 21 — A scam was reported on South Fifth Street.

A utility issue was reported on A Street about a water leak that required it to be shut off.

A person gave information on an incident that occurred earlier in the day that the reporting party wanted documented.

Sep 22 — Property damage was reported on South Eighth Street.

An officer assisted the general public at Overland Express Mart on North Fourth Street.

An assault was reported on Montana Avenue involving a domestic dispute.

A burglary was reported on the 100 block of Second Avenue North involving a man reportedly attempting to break into a residence.

Sep 23 — An officer initiated contact with a man on North Fourth Street.

A suspicious white truck was reported on Wyoming Highway 30.

A civil standby was reported on North Seventh Street.

Cody Wade Williams was arrested on West B Street on an outside agency warrant.

Sep 24 — An officer assisted the general public on Wyoming Highway 30.

Sep 27 — Property damage due to an accident was reported at South Fifth Street and Holdrege Avenue.

An officer assisted the general public on South Sixth Street.

Sept. 21 - 3:50 p.m.: Theft was reported on Lane 49.5 in Manderson. 

Sept. 22 - 12:17 p.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office assisted Department of Family Services at their office on Murphy Street in Basin. 

2:31 p.m.: BHCSO dispatch assisted Carbon County, Mont. 

2:52 p.m.: A traffic complaint was made on Highway 20 South in Basin. 

4:43 p.m.: A power outage was reported in the Hyattville area. 

7:42 p.m.: A man was reported trying to break into a home on Second Avenue North in Greybull. 

8:09 p.m.: A traffic complaint was made on a silver dually chasing down a red passenger car after an alleged near collision on Highway 20 South in Manderson. 

11:26 p.m.: Sheep were reported out near Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull. 

Sept. 23 - 1:05 p.m.: BHCSO dispatch assisted Worland Police Department. 

Sept. 24 - 7:43 a.m.: A school zone patrol was conducted at Greybull Elementary School on Sixth Avenue North in Greybull. 

1:02 p.m.: A scam call was reported to BHCSO on Murphy Street in Basin. 

5:36 p.m.: A traffic complaint was made on Highway 30 in Burlington. 

Sept. 25 - 4:44 p.m.: A problem with the gate at Big Horn Basin Skeet Club was reported on Highway 20 South in Basin. 

Sept. 26 - 7:11 a.m.: A car vs. deer accident was reported at Lane 43 and Highway 30 in Big Horn County. 

Sept. 27 - 5:27 p.m.: A citizen complaint was made at Lane 32.5 and Beaver Creek Road in Shell. 

7:48 p.m.: A scam was reported at Big Horn County Detention Facility on Murphy Street in Basin. 

7:54 p.m.: A vehicle vs. deer accident was reported at Hiway Bar and Cafe on Highway 20 South in Manderson. 

9:39 p.m.: Suspicious circumstances were reported to BHCSO on Murphy Street in Basin. 

ARRESTS

Joseph Anthony Gillette of Cody was arrested in Byron on Monday, Sept. 21 on DWUI alcohol and improper lane usage charges, bailed after two days. 

David Cyle Murph of Greybull was sentenced serving time in Basin on Sunday, Sept. 27, to be released Friday, Oct. 2. 

Tabathia Nichole Schultz of Lovell was arrested in Lovell Wednesday, Sept. 23 on a probation violation, bailed after one day. 

Zayden Jay Stahl of Lovell was arrested in Lovell Sunday, Sept. 27 due to alleged underage drinking and driving, served one day.
