Sue Carol Wamhoff Coguill

May 24, 1942 – Dec. 27, 2022

Sue Carol Wamhoff Coguill was born May 24, 1942 to Ted and Alleen Wamhoff in Greybull, Wyo. She attended school at the Emblem School to the eighth grade, graduating from Greybull High School in 1960. In 1959, Sue was Days of ’49 queen. One of her cherished memories was when her daughter, Amy, was queen in 1985 and granddaughter Sara in 2005.

Sue married Robert “Bob” Coguill May 1, 1960, at the Emblem Lutheran Church. They had three children: Scott, Roger and Amy.

Sue worked as a librarian at Greybull High School, as a secretary at Wyo-Ben and retired in 2006 after working 22 years at the Big Horn County Assessor's Office. She was an avid cake decorator, baking wedding and birthday cakes for anyone. Sue also enjoyed painting and any craft she could find. Sue liked to go to all the Big Horn Basin rodeos to watch her family.

She was a member of the Emblem Lutheran Church, the Emblem Community Club and served on the Emblem Cemetery Board for many years.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Ted and Alleen; husband Bob; two brothers, Gary and Tom, and her beloved daughter, Amy, in 2014.

She is survived by sons Scott and Roger; sister Myrna Good of Greybull; six grandkids; seven great-grandkids and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be Jan. 14, 1:30 p.m., at the Emblem Lutheran Church.
