Sign up for state and federal grant training

Don’t be afraid to be open-minded. Your brain is not going to fall out.
At the last chamber lunch meeting, Jennifer Fernandez told us about an opportunity from Sen. Lummis: Free professional training on identifying, applying for and managing grant funding.  https://www.lummis.senate.gov/WYOMING-FUNDING-SUMMIT/. The training is in April. It fills up fast so reserve your spot now.
We appreciate all who have donated pens, pads, stickers, etc., for the six SWAG bags going to Cheyenne next week. It is always good to remind our elected officials about Big Horn County. We are also taking down information sheets about potential grant projects. The governor, secretary of state, treasurer, auditor and superintendent all sit on the State Land and Investment Board (SLIB). By taking these info sheets to them, they have an opportunity to know about a project before the grant comes before them later this year. Please get any items you have for the swag bags to us by Friday, Feb. 16 if possible.

• Greybull Museum: Coming Friday, Feb. 16, come join the Greybull Museum, Grow Greybull, and 307 First on Airport Hill at approximately 11:30 a.m. as we install our allosaurus silhouette that will greet people entering Greybull from the west.
• Big Horn County: Public Health’s Play, Learn and Grow Together, Wednesdays-10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Asp Community Center in Greybull. Open to children 18-36 months.
• Absaroka Head Start: We have an immediate opening for FREE preschool at our center. Absaroka Head Start provides education, nutrition, health, and family services to enrolled families. We have a modern facility with a new playground! If your child is between 3-4 years old and you are receiving SNAP benefits, you automatically qualify for our program.
