Riverside volleyball team continues to show growth

With a couple weeks under their belts, the Lady Riverside Rebels have yet to secure a win. They have proven that they are willing to go the extra mile to work hard for a game they love.

Riverside played 2 conference matches this week. The first one was against Burlington. In Burlington on Friday, September 11.  They lost that game 25-12, 25-8, and 25-8. 

The Rebels had their first home game this past weekend against Dubois Varsity and JV. The final scores were 25-15, 25-7, and 25-9.

Coach Nikki Hopkin stated, “We are continuing to show GROWTH with each and every match we play!  Our girls are working hard, learning, and making strides every time they step on the court. We are so proud of the effort, determination and commitment they are putting into this season. Every match is an opportunity to improve, compete, and grow together as a team. We love seeing these girls put in the work and support one another!”

The Lady Rebels will host a 1A tournament this weekend. It will begin in the LIE gym and at the Rec center at noon. At 5 p.m. they will move from the Rec Center to the RHS gym and continue at LIE.

Saturday it will be at the RHS and LIE gym’s as well. We as a community support you Lady Rebels!
