Riverside travels to Bobcat Invite in Thermopolis
The Riverside High School track team had another strong showing Friday at the Bobcat
Invite in Thermopolis. Competing against 24 teams, the Rebels continue to improve, with most athletes achieving personal bests heading into the final stretch of the season.
Leading the way for the boys was Paul Stone, who placed 2nd in the triple jump with a mark of 41-8. Varissa Olsen also had a great day in the throws, finishing 2nd in the discus (116-2) and 10th in the shot put (29-5).
The girls 4x100 relay team had another solid performance, placing 5th with a time of 56.29, while the girls sprint medley relay team added a 9th -place finish (5:30.51). Hannah Suiter continued to run well, placing 10th in the 800 meters (2:43.99).
Overall, it was another strong week for the team showing continued progress across the board. The team is now preparing for the 1A-2A West Regionals Meet in Shoshoni this weekend and looking forward to State Track in Casper next week.
