Police Report

The following calls were received by the Basin Police Department last week (Persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and charges made upon initial arrest may be amended or dismissed as determined by the County Attorney):
April 1 — Officer responded to a call at South Eighth Street about a possible squatter in vacant home.
A VIN inspection was done at the Big Horn County Sheriff Office (BHCSO).
Business check was done at Basin Pharmacy.
Two extra patrols were done at the school.
April 2— Two school zone patrols were done.
Burglary alarm went off at South Fourth Street.
Threats occurred at Wyoming Retirement Center (WRC).
Officer assisted general public on South Sixth Street.
R.E.D.D.I report on U.S. Highway 16/20 South.
A person called the Basin Police Department and requested a call back from the officer on duty.
A VIN inspection was done at the BHCSO.
A hit and run occurred to a blue Jetta while parked at the school.
Ordinance violation at West E Street.
Extra patrol was done at the school.
April 3 — Business check was done at Family Dollar.
Extra patrol was done at Mount View Cemetery.
Business check was done at West B Street.
Extra patrol was done at the bus barn.
April 4 — Welfare check occurred on North Fourth Street.
A school zone patrol was done.
Extra patrol was done at WRC.
Extra patrol was done at the school.
April 5 — An argument disturbance occurred at South Eighth Street.
A patrol was done at the bus barn.
Two VIN inspections were done at the BHCSO.
Business check was done at the Overland Express Mart.
Extra patrol was done at Mount View Cemetery.
Black pit bull dogs were on South Fourth Street and would not go away.
April 6— Public works utility call was made from South Third Street.
Extra patrol was done at the school.
Extra patrols was done at Mount View Cemetery.
Traffic hazard reported on U.S. Highwy 14/16/20 and U.S. Highway 310 a snow plow requested.
Dogs at large were reported on South Fourth Street.
Lost dogs were reported on South 3rd Street.
Officer responded to an animal call at Basin Town Hall on West B Street..

April 7 — Medium to large black and white dog was reported running southbound from the BHCSO.
Officer assisted the public with some information on South Sixth Street.
Public works was called to assist on a power outage on South Eighth Street.
Extra patrol was done at WRC.
Extra patrol was done at Mount View Cemetery.
