Helen J. Shoemaker, whose column appears regularly in a daily news tabloid published in Worland, leveled a blistering attack at the Big Horn county treasurer and the members of her staff on Friday. The columnist referred particularly to “the last day of the month” as one on which many “disgusted people” filled the lobby of the county courthouse. Actually issued on this one day were 272 auto, truck, and trailer license plates. This indicates an average of one and one-half minutes consumed in the issuance of each license.
