Bids for the construction of the first building of the new State Tuberculosis Sanatorium will be advertised in February and construction will begin as soon and weather will permit. The site finally selected is in direct line with Fifth Street, which will place the sanatorium at the south end of the street with the courthouse at the north end. The building that will be constructed this spring and summer will be but the first wing of a large building which ultimately will be built. The building contemplated is a three story, brick and stone, fire-proof structure, 110 by 70 feet. The building will provide for 30 beds, but later as funds are provided the capacity of the building will be enlarged.
