Online auction for Shell Fire begins Friday

A week-long online auction intended to raise money for the Shell Valley Volunteer Fire Department begins Friday, Nov. 14.

The SVFD’s auxiliary is organizing the auction, just as it has the last four years. All profits will be directed to the SVFD to help the department cover expenses.

Besides serving the Shell area, these faithful volunteers not only answer calls to property fires but also fight grass fires and assist with forest fires, covering about 800 square miles including almost to Hyattville, Bear Creek, Tater Ridge and to the county line in the Big Horn Mountains. The SVFD also assists neighboring communities when needed.

The items donated for this year’s auction are on display through Thursday, Nov. 20 at Agri Tire Plus in Greybull; regular business hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Online bidding is only available from Friday, Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. through Thursday, Nov. 20 at 5 p.m.  To view the site, visit https://www.32auctions.com/ShellVVFDAuction2025.  A link is also available on the SVFD’s Facebook page. The auction site is supported by Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and other mobile browsers.

Items must be picked up at Agra Tire Plus between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21 unless other arrangements have been made.
