Majority of varsity returns for Lady Huskies

Volleyball season is under way and the Lady Huskies have lots of familiar faces. 

“We have 14 returning players this season, we gained three freshmen and a new-to-us junior,” said Coach Erin Bassett. “We graduated one senior from last season, so the majority of our varsity is returning: Naomi McNiven, Sarah McNiven, Eve McNulty, Paxton Philpott, Dalley Bassett, Hailee Winterholler, Adison Haslam, Hannah Stanworth and Kate Preator.” 

Coach Bassett is optimistic about the season, saying, “We have a really versatile group of athletic girls. I am looking forward to another season with them. We are working to play as a team, aggressively and leave nothing behind.” 

Bassett will be joined once again by assistant coach Cheyanne Jordan.

The Lady Huskies play in Cowley on Friday and Saturday at the North Big Horn Invite.
