Lady Riverside Rebels head to Regionals in Lander
The Riverside Lady Rebels concluded their regular season this past week at Meeteetse. In the words of head coach Nikki Hopkin, “they closed out the season filled with growth, hard work, and valuable experience. Although the team’s overall record may not fully reflect the progress this group has made, the team has made meaningful strides throughout the season.
“I’m incredibly proud of the growth this team has shown, both on and off the court. We’ve improved our skills, built stronger team chemistry, and learned how important communication and mental toughness are when competing at this level. We may not always see that growth reflected in the win-loss column, but I see it every day in how these girls work, support one another, and continue to push themselves,” said Coach Hopkin.
With Regionals approaching this weekend, the Lady Rebels are preparing to put their hard work and experience to the test. Hopkin looks forward to seeing her team embrace the challenge and compete with confidence.
“Our goal is to take everything we’ve learned this season and bring it onto the court at Regionals. Every point is an opportunity to compete, trust each other, and show how far we’ve come. I’m excited to see what this group can do,” said Hopkin.
Although they did not secure a victory, they showed effort and good sportsmanship. The final scores were 25-13, 25-20, and 25-14.
