Lady Huskies look for progress this season

With 21 players and a new head coach, the Lady Huskies have started the season with drive and energy. They have eleven returning athletes, 9 of those have varsity experience, including Seniors Adison Haslam and Sarah McNiven, who received All-Conference Honors last year. They are also gaining 10 incoming freshmen. 

Natoshia Heaton was an assistant coach last season and is stepping into the head coach role. “I am excited to see how the girls work hard to accomplish their goals. How they bind together to form a strong team. How they step up to the challenges they encounter. To see the determination and grit they develop. And to see how far they progress not only in volleyball skills and competition but in learning how to celebrate their teammates success and how said success reflects their own success.”

Burlington finished last season by earning third place at Regionals and State and is looking positively towards the next few months. “It is going to be a great season, and I am excited to be able to step into the world of endless possibilities with these athletes! Let’s go Lady Huskies!” said Heaton. 

The first contest for the Lady Huskies, will be the North Big Horn Invite in Cowley on Friday and Saturday.
