Judith Ann Robertson Kelsey
January 15, 2025
Judith Ann Robertson Kelsey, age 88, passed away peacefully on Jan. 15, 2025. She was born in Sumner, Mich., the youngest daughter of Hugh and Lucille Robertson.
In 1953, Judith married the love of her life, Earl Kelsey, and together they raised four children, two of whom preceded her in death. In 1968, they moved to Wyoming to embrace the “Wyoming lifestyle,” where they sought adventure and a close-knit family life. In 1972, they settled in Basin, Wyo., where Judy proudly nurtured her family and became a beloved grandmother to 18 grandchildren, three of whom have passed away.
Judy was a woman of many passions. She was an avid gardener, crafter, and reader, always immersing herself in activities that brought her joy and allowed her to share her creativity with those around her. She was deeply involved in her community and was a valued member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and served as the president of the B.P.O. Does chapter. Over the years, Judy worked for Wards in Greybull, Gambles in Thermopolis, and J.C. Penney Co. in both Thermopolis and Worland, making lifelong friendships wherever she went.
Judith will be remembered for her love of family, her kindness, and her commitment to her community. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her surviving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends and family members who were touched by her generosity and spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Lucille Robertson; her beloved husband, Earl Kelsey; two of her children; and three grandchildren. Judith is survived by her remaining children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous other loved ones.
A celebration of Judith’s life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Stillwater Hospice.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all those who have supported them during this time of loss. Judith’s legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to her family will be cherished forever.
