In a rematch of the state championship game from last season, the Huskies hosted Little Snake River in their first home game of the season. With five minutes left in the first quarter, Kole Walker handed off to Chase Bassett who pushed his way across the goal line. Walker then kicked a PAT for two points and the Huskies were up 8-0, for their only lead of the game.

Despite bright moments, the Huskies struggled to make headway on their offense and to keep top-ranked Little Snake from the endzone and the game ended with a final score 8-53.

Burlington played a JV game against Rocky Mountain at home on Monday and will play in Kaycee with middle school kickoff at 11 a.m. and high school kickoff at 1 p.m.
