Home for the Holidays is Nov. 30
The streets of Basin will be filled with holiday cheer, Nov. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. It is the sixth annual Home for the Holidays. Some of the events include the lighting of the courthouse lights and a lighted Christmas parade. While there is not a theme for the parade, the committee said floats could highlight a tradional Christmas.
After the parade, children can see Santa and Mrs. Claus on the corner of South Fourth and East C Street. Santa will listen to children’s tales and hand out small gifts.
On the town Christmas tree, there will be mitten ornaments for attendees. Other fun planned for the night are hot chocolate and cookies from the Basin First Baptist, cotton candy provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, crafts and treats at the Big Horn County Library, free cartoons in the Basin City Art Center’s theatre, a hay ride, food trucks and the Festival of Trees.
Earlier in the day, the Basin Recreation District is hosting a Christmas Bazaar at the Rec Center.
