Great week three for Huskies trap team
Burlington High School’s trap team had a great third week of shooting. They shot an impressive 212 to add to their overall total of 465.50. That score kept them in fifth place in their conference but brought them within five of fourth-place Kemmerer.
“We had a great week,” said Coach Nate Kreider. “We should shoot in the rain more often!”
The top five shooters for the Huskies this week: First, Brikton Wardell 49/50; Second, Tridgon Aagard 45/50; Third, Kole Walker 43/50; Fourth, tie between Parker Cook and Chase Allen with 38/50.
Wardell is currently sitting in sixth place with a season average of 22.83. Walker is in 12th place with a 21, Aagard is tied for 22nd place with a 19.50 and Cook is tied for 24th place with a 19.17. Ava Wennberg is in 11th place on the female side with a 12.67 season average.
“Brikton shot the first 25 straight since the club started. He only missed one shot this week. He received a 25 straight club patch from the Wyoming State Sporting Clay. He also got recognized on the Wyoming state website. He now broke into the state’s top 25 and is ranked 21st in the state and sixth in our conference. Trigdon put up his personal best score ever this week and broke into the conference Top 25. Even some of our young new shooters put up their personal best scores this week. Hopefully the team found their groove for the rest of the season. I look forward to week number four,” ended Kreider.
