Food Bank of Wyoming launches $125,000 Holiday Matching Gift Challenge
Food Bank of Wyoming has announced a Holiday Matching Challenge to help provide nourishing meals to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity this season. All funds raised through December 31 will be matched — dollar for dollar — up to $125,000 thanks to the John P. Ellbogen Foundation.
This generous gift comes at a crucial time as Food Bank of Wyoming and its network of more than 150 Hunger Relief Partners have been on the front lines responding to increased demand this year.
During its 2024 fiscal year, Food Bank of Wyoming provided food assistance to over 55,000 neighbors, 22% of whom were children. For many Wyoming families, the holiday season can bring difficult choices: buying food, paying rent, or covering other necessary expenses such as heating. Through this matching gift campaign, Food Bank of Wyoming aims to ease these burdens, ensuring every neighbor can enjoy nutritious meals and meaningful moments with their loved ones.
The generous $125,000 matching gift opportunity will maximize Food Bank of Wyoming’s ability to purchase and distribute essential foods. These include holiday favorites such as stuffing, green beans, sweet potatoes, and gravy, as well as nutritious staples like corn, potatoes, apples, and other fresh produce.
This December, make your charitable contribution go twice as far through Food Bank of Wyoming, with every dollar helping to provide enough food for six meals thanks to the matching gift.
