Food Bank of Rockies distribution is Saturday in Basin

Those experiencing food insecurity may pick up food on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. at the fairgrounds in Basin.  The distribution runs through 1 p.m. or until supplies run out. 

Volunteers are needed to help sort out the food after it has been delivered. Please come at 9 a.m. and check in with the site coordinator. 

The guidelines are one box of food per household of four. Families with five to eight in the household may receive two boxes. Household of nine or more may receive three boxes. Families living in one household should not come in different vehicles to get food for the same home. 

The public is again reminded, that if you don’t need the food, please don’t take it as there may not be enough for those who do. If food is still available after the line is complete, it is available to anyone.  The best practice is to come to the fairgrounds toward the end of the distribution time. 

If you are picking up for someone, you will need a proxy. Those forms are available at the Basin Area Chamber.
