Don’t trust the Democrats; do your own research into Republican candidatesLetter to the Editor:

Dear editor:

As the primary election gets closer and the candidates start lining up to run for the various offices, I think a lot of us as voters need to check the candidates out so we can make informed decisions when we cast our ballots.

In that regard, I think I need to write this letter. Right now, most of the letters to the editor are written by left-leaning or Democrat-party folks.

As a Republican, I don’t think we need Democrats to tell us how to vote. If we have a question of our Republican candidates, we need to check them out and see what their positions are.

The Democrats tell us to vote against the ideas of the Freedom Caucus. I have checked into the Freedom Caucus and there is not much that I disagree with. Don’t listen to the Democrats. Check it out for yourself.

The Democrats don’t need to tell us how bad the Republican ideas are. They need to tell the voters how they and their candidates can improve what we are doing now.

The primaries are for the Republicans and the Democrats to choose the candidates who will run in the general election. We should not be interfering in each other’s primary elections. Wyoming changed its voter law because of what happened eight years ago. Let each party choose its own candidate in the primary, then vote for who you choose in the general.

PS: I have seen two candidates who are running as a Republican; they are not running because they are Republican. That concerns me.
