Community Builder Week event looking for partners

Big Horn County School District No. 4 and the Big Horn County Library in Basin are organizing a Community Builder Week in July. The event is dedicated to bringing together local partners, families and youth in our community.

 21st Century Community Learning Centers After-School Program Coordinator Novaree Christopherson said, “The event is designed to give students and families the opportunity to connect with the people, services and careers that make our community strong. They are currently seeking local organizations to host a booth, do an activity, demonstrations, or share what your organization or business does.” 

The goal is to help students learn about real-world careers and community roles. It also is to strengthen connections between local organizations and families.  Christopherson added they want to, “Inspire youth through hands-on engaging experiences. As well as showcase the valuable services and opportunities available in the community.”
