“There is no end to the good you can do if you don’t care who gets the credit.” Colin Powell

The Chamber flowerpots are all planted. As are the lilac bushes at both ‘Welcome to Basin’ signs. (Thanks Harrison family for getting the bushes planted). If you would like a chamber pot, they are planted and ready to go. If you are a chamber member in Basin and would like one for the front of your building, please let us know.

A huge thank you to our Lilac Days sponsors thus far:  Queen Bee Gardens, Three Rivers Health, SSB, TCT, Big Horn REA, Basin REC, Basin First Baptist, Gottsche,  Friends of the Basin Library, American Legion Post #29/Valley Hardware, The SHACK, Club Dauntless and Cody Regional Health/Basin Clinic. Thank you to Big Horn Co-op for the donation of veggie and flower seeds. They will be given away during Lilac Days.

Adam Craw will provide the music this year. Wing It Food Truck and Haley’s Concession will be there too.

Nominations for Lilac Queen are sought. There are ballots at the Basin Republican Rustler, Basin Pharmacy, Basin Market and Security State Bank. Past queens are Helen Russell, Willa Jackson Ellison, Barbara Ellison Greene, Ellen Cummings, June Hill, Larraine Getzfried, Margaret Brown, Helen Crane, Kay Mowery, Becky Allred, Jennifer Miller, Cindy Schlattmann, Lauriena Curtis, Pat Brown, Juanita Dellos, Shelley King, Charlene Anderson, Barbara Anne Greene, Marie Dutton, Lori Thon, Carmen Olson and Victoria Davis.

Applications for the Lilac Baby are in the foyer of the chamber. Open to babies that are newborn to 2 years old.

The chamber has an old-fashioned bingo machine that includes a mounted number board, ball spinner, balls and bingo cards. Please let us know if you are interested.
