The Wyoming High School Speech and Debate season has begun and Burlington will field another team of competitors.

In the first tournament, the Powell Novice Tournament, Sky Olsen placed first in the Oratory/Informative category which earned Burlington second place in the sweepstakes.

At the Lovell Novice Tournament, Olsen again took first in Oratory and Burlington again placed second in the sweepstakes.

“Sky is doing so well,” said Coach Scott McBride. “She is supported
by her teammates and the team works really well together.”

Varsity members Kitzen Schatz, David McBride and Orabella Heaton have been helping judge at the Novice meets and McBride recognized them as well. “They are doing a great job judging. We have a great vibe going in the team and an exciting future.”

Coach McBride is joined by assistant coach Leah St. Clair.

Varsity events will start Dec. 13 in Lander.
