‘Put Your Heart into Your Library’ social set for Saturday

The Friends of the Basin Library invite you to “Put Your Heart into Your Library” during Valentine season this Saturday, Feb. 8 from noon-2 p.m. 

The Friends will host an Ice Cream Social and 2025 Membership Drive at the Big Horn County Library. 

The Friends is a volunteer organization that supports the local library and promotes lifelong learning and supports the continued presence and  growth of the Basin branch of the Big Horn County Library.  

Through fundraising efforts and community activities, Friends of the Basin Library helps to provide supplemental funding, programs, materials and equipment to the Library. 

The 2025 membership fee is $10.

FOBL provides for the library’s active expansion and participation in community life; raises funds for the library; promotes the importance of good library service to citizens; encourages the use of the library as a center for the educational and cultural life of the community; and sponsors educational and cultural programs for the community.

Through fundraisers and memberships, the Basin Friends can continue to support our library with the purchase of magazine and newspaper subscriptions, books for special occasions, summer reading programs, computer tech support and refreshments for guest speakers.  Members may volunteer their time, talents, and/or donations to help maintain the library as a community treasure.  Memberships may also be left with the staff at the BHC Library.
