Two Basin youths are fine after spending a cold night out over the weekend. The two, Matt Vanderpool, 18, and Toby Thon, 17, were found at 9:30 a.m. Sunday by members of the South Big Horn County Search and Rescue squad on an oil field road south of Wyoming Highway 30 west of Basin. Both were in good condition despite Saturday night’s sub-zero temperatures. The two had been hunting in the area Saturday afternoon when their pickup became stuck in a snowdrift approximately one mile from Elk Creek.
