Iowa State field station director presenting today at Greybull library
Are you interested in the Iowa State University’s Carl F. Vondra Geology Field Station east of Shell? Ever wonder what all those students do every summer in the Greybull / Shell area?
Find out at 6 p.m. today (Thursday, June 20) when Dr. Aaron Wood, director of the field station, speaks at the Greybull Public Library.  
Dr. Wood will explain why Iowa State has been coming back to the Greybull area for more than 70 years to train geologists at its world-class facility. The Iowa State program is widely considered to be one of the best field programs in the country for training undergraduates.
Wood’s presentation is part of the Big Horn Basin Dinosaur and Geoscience Museum’s summer lecture series.

FBLA students to deliver pizzas as fundraiser for trip to Orlando
Greybull High School’s four Future Business Leaders of America students are delivering pizzas today (Thursday, June 20) and Friday, June 21 to raise money for their upcoming trip to the national conference in Orlando, Fla.
If you’d like to help Caden Hunt, Landen Craft, Bennett Sanford and Chaise Benasky with their expenses, call CC’s Pizza between the hours of 4 and 8 p.m. on those two days. What they make in tips they will keep for their trip.
The national conference is June 29 through July 2.

Wyo-Ben open house is Friday
Wyo-Ben is shutting down production and opening its Magnet Cove and Stucco plants to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, June 21.
In announcing the open house, Wyo-Ben is offering everyone a free lunch — serving is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — and an opportunity to learn more about the company, which has expanded its global footprint and grown its workforce since its acquisition of the former M-I SWACO plant.
Tours of the two plants will be offered.  Each will be preceded by a safety briefing.  At Magnet Cove, formerly the M-I SWACO location, tours start at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.  At the Stucco plant, tours start at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
