Lady Rebels beat Wranglers, lose to Buffs

The Lady Riverside Rebels played the Pink Game in Greybull on Tuesday, Feb. 6 against the Lady Buffs.  After one quarter, it was 10-6, Riverside. The Rebels continued to stay aggressive with some attempted steals and good rebounds through the second quarter.  At the half the game was tied up at 18-18.  The girls kept up the pace but couldn’t pull out a win, losing 45-41.

Ada Pratt was a standout on rebounds with nine and Johnna Clifford had four assists.

On Saturday in Shoshoni, the Lady Rebels came out on top 50-47.

 Brooklynn Paxton had 27 points and 14 rebounds, Varissa Olsen had 10 rebounds, and Clifford had 6 assists.  “We had a great game against their press, creating scoring opportunities early on,” said Coach Jason Mitchell. “In the fourth quarter when we needed it most, the girls did a good job of not allowing the ball to stop on offense.  We consistently made the right decisions passing the ball, creating great looks for teammates.”

The Lady Rebels will face Dubois Friday, Feb. 14 at 5:30 p.m. in Dubois. 

No official stats were available at press time for the Greybull or Shoshoni games.
