Diana Lynn Shuman

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Diana Lynn Shuman, 67, a longtime resident of Greybull, Wyo. Diana passed away from a sudden illness on Sept. 22, 2025, in Billings, Mont.

She was born May 1, 1958, in Lincoln, Ill., to Roland and Dorothy (Allen) Scheid. In 2004, Diana moved to the Big Horn Basin, where she made her home and shared her many talents with family and friends.

Diana was a gifted artist who loved creating hair bows for her grandchildren, crafting key lanyards, baking and pursuing just about any project involving arts and crafts. She had a generous and creative spirit that touched those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Debra Posdik; and her beloved dog, Pinto.

Diana is survived by her daughters: Stephanie (Roger) Williams of Basin, Wyo.; Cindi (Rex) Perry of O’Fallon, Ill.; Jamie (Larry) Chapman of Savannah, Ga.; Deanna Marie of Kerrville, Texas; and Deborah Bettis of Kerrville, Texas. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at 4 p.m. at Washington Park in Basin, Wyo. Cremation has taken place at Antelope Butte Crematory in Greybull. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atwood Family Funeral Directors.
