Shad Lee Carter

Aug. 4, 1986 – May 11, 2022

Shad Lee Carter, 35, passed away from complications due to pneumonia and multiple infections on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, with family by his side at Billings Clinic. 

He was born on August 4, 1986, in Lovell to Ray Morris Carter and Karen Bischoff Carter.

Shad attended school in Lovell and worked various jobs in Wyoming. He had multiple talents, just like his father, Ray, and his grandmother, Ruth Allphin Bischoff.

Shad loved fishing, hunting, rock climbing and the mountains. He also loved his nieces, nephews, great-niece and great-nephews. 

Shad was preceded in death by his father, Ray Morris Carter, and both sets of grandparents.

He is survived by his mother, Karen Bischoff Carter, sisters April Rae Carter Smith of Lovell and Sharaea Janel Cameron of Great Falls, Montana, brother Jeremy Cimmeron Carter of Powell, six nieces, three nephews, one great-niece and three great-nephews.

Cremation has taken place, and a graveside memorial service has been set for 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, at the Lovell Cemetery.

A benefit fund has been set up at Big Horn Federal in lieu of flowers.
