Two Riverside track athletes won regional championships at the 2A West Regional in Lander last week and the team added a few more thinclads to those who are heading to state this weekend.

The Riverside High School track members took advantage of the nice weather last Friday at the Thermopolis meet with 18 athletes getting personal bests in their respective events, Coach Steve Olson said.
“It was a good track meet,” he said.
One of the highlights was Dylan Roberts qualifying for state in
Nate Davidson did it. Years of practice, years of running, years of chasing the elusive five-minute mark in the 1,600 meters came full circle Saturday in Lovell when the junior ran a personal best, 4:54.65, and prequalified for the State 1A meet. His personal best earned him fourth place.
While the weather reeked havoc on most athletes times and distances, Riverside junior Colton Hodge was attempting a personal best 6-5 when the Powell Roundtable Track and Field Meet ended prematurely.
Coach Steve Olson said Hodge had cleared 6-3 but the height is not official since the event was not completed.
