After interviewing seven applicants for the Big Horn County Fair manager position, the board offered the position to Vangi Hackney of Cowley, who had previously worked for the fair as secretary.
Hackney who was present at the regular Big Horn County Fair Board meeting on Monday, November 5, accepted the offer.
Fair board chairman Felix Carrizales, said they interviewed every applicant. “It was a good process with good candidates. I appreciate all who applied. There were many very suitable candidates. It was a hard decision to make.”
Hackney said, “I am super excited about being offered the position, and cannot wait to start preparing for the 2013 fair. I applied for the job as fair manager, because I felt that positive changes within the fair were needed. I want to see this fair become something that the community and the youth are proud to say this is “OUR” Big Horn County Fair.”
